FAQ​

How do I use Serenity Sage?​

We are currently offering personal meditation sessions in Serenity Sage. You start the session by telling us about any issues you are facing. We will generate a unique meditation session using AI and guide you through it to help you with your issues. The more elborate you are in describing your issues, the more personalized your meditation session will be.

Examples:​

  • Stress Reduction: "This week's project deadline at work is really stressing me out. There's too much to do in too little time."

  • Anxiety Relief: "I'm feeling anxious about speaking at the conference next week. The thought of standing in front of so many people is nerve-wracking."

  • Mindfulness Practice: "I keep dwelling on a mistake I made last month and worrying about an upcoming job review. Staying present is tough."

  • Emotional Balance: "Ever since my promotion, I've been on an emotional rollercoaster – excited one minute and overwhelmed the next."

  • Better Sleep: "My mind races with thoughts about tomorrow's big presentation every night. It's been hard to get a good night's sleep."

  • Personal Growth: "I'm facing a big challenge: leading my first major project at work. It's exciting but I'm really nervous about it."

  • Relaxation Needs: "After a hectic week of juggling work and family, I just can't seem to relax or find any quiet time for myself."

  • Dealing with Loss: "Losing my pet, who was with me for over a decade, has left me feeling deeply sad and empty."

How long are the meditation sessions? Can I make them longer?​

Currently we are offering 5-minute meditation sessions. We are working on adding support for longer sessions, and will update the app when we have it ready.

Why do I hear strange noises during the meditation session?​

We are using a text-to-speech engine to generate the meditation session. The text-to-speech engine is not perfect, and sometimes it will produce random artifacts. We are working on improving the text-to-speech engine, but in the meantime, we hope that you can bear with us.

What languages does Serenity Sage support?​

While we currently do have multi-language support, the AI models are better trained for English. We will experiment and announce what languages we have good support in the future. In the meantime, please feel free to try out Serenity Sage in your native language and see how well it does.

What data do you collect?​

Please refer to our Privacy Policy for more details. In short, this is the data we collect to provide you with a better meditation experience:

  • Your name. We want to address you by your name when we talk to you. We will not share your name with anyone else.
  • The text you provide us when you start a meditation session. We plan to use it to provide a personalized experience such as daily check-ins, and meditation summaries. The generated meditation session is also recorded for us to improve our AI models, and we will not share any data with anyone else. The providers we use also have strict privacy policies in place.
  • Your voice data. This feature is not implemented yet, but we would like you to be able to talk to our meditation coaches in the future, so we will be using speech-to-text technology to convert your voice to text. We might use on-device speech-to-text engine or use relevant APIs from vendors online. Either way, we will not store or share your voice data with anyone else. We will make sure our vendors have strict privacy policies in place. We will not use your voice data for any other purposes.

How do I cancel my subscription?​

You can go through your steps in this article from Apple to cancel your subscription. You will still be able to use Serenity Sage until the end of your subscription period.

How do I request a refund?​

You can go through your steps in this article from Apple to request a refund. Please note that we do not have control over the refund process, and it is up to Apple to decide whether to grant you a refund.
